Margie has been a student of yoga on and off since 1992 and is a 200 hour Yoga Teacher. In 2010 she completed her yoga teacher training from Shiva Shanti Yoga School. She combines her enthusiasm and love of yoga with a knowledge of alignment and body mechanics. Her intention with each class is to afford students the opportunity to cultivate a stronger connection to the body, heart and inspiration, both on and off the mat in a friendly and loving environment. She has always had a deep interest in the power of the human body as well as a deep desire to help people in a holistic realm, this sparked an interest in massage and bodywork. She then shortly became a massage therapist, is a member of the Associated Massage and Bodywork Professionals and expands her knowledge through continued workshops and research.
She has also attended Bangalore, India in 2006 to participate in an event called Silver Jubilee where Sri Sri Ravi Shankar lead over 3 million people through a meditation for global peace & harmony. People from diverse social strata and backgrounds from over 150 countries all celebrated the vision and mission of the Art of Living, a not-for-profit, educational and humanitarian NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) engaged in stress-management and service initiatives globally. Margie stumbled upon this Guru after 911, living in NYC she felt the morbidness left in the city and needed to reconnect on a spiritual level. This lead to seva, satsangs and pranayamas which inevitably changed her outlook, her life completely.
